Mallards, Herons and....silence (1 Viewer)

Hi all!

I spent this afternoon in my favorite place to look for ducks and Herons with my horrible binoculars.
In my country, in these day, migration is started: Larks sing anywhere and sometimes appear very high in the sky; Song Thrush arrived, you hear “ZIP!” and you can recognition without seeing; Robins sing with their melancholy voice so that gives me peace of mind…; they arrived too Blackbirds, Stonechats, Redstarts and ….soon, many others bird will arrive. But this afternoon , during the sunset, only Mallards and Grey Herons flew and suddenly everything seemed to stand still. All around me was far and incredibly silent.

While back home I thought that all this feeds my soul!
And you?

Ehm...sorry for my English……|:x|

I can really relate to that! I find myself sometimes walking in my local reserve or along the river and not much wildlife is about but the peace and calm is very, very relaxing and just being in a wild place is wonderful. No hustle and bustle, no noise and pressures, just a quiet place and a path to stroll along. Bliss!
