I am presuming a longhorn species, about 3cm long according to the finder. Just a photo passed on to me, so I only can go on photo. Can't see tubercles, so rule out Old House borer (Hylotrupes bajulus)

I wondered whether it was Trinophylum cribratum (Indian Longhorn) but the elytra don't seem quite right. Have you tried sending it to the new Longhorn Recording Scheme longhorns at brc.ac.uk ? I'm sure they'll be able to help. And when you find out, please let us know.
Cheers.
