Pipits, Scotland (1 Viewer)

Lots of pipits seen on my recent trip to Scotland, and I'm terrible at telling them apart... I'm almost sure that they are all either Meadow (those seen inland) or Rock (those seen on the coast), but wanting to check whether there might be any Tree or Water among them...

1-2 shores of Loch Linnhe, Fort William, evening of 6th May - Rock?

3 halfway up Ben Nevis (a bit past the lochan) on 7th May - Meadow?

4-5 in Mallaig (in a sort of scrubby alleyway bit between houses, where I also saw a Phylloscopus sp.) - Meadow?

6-10 in Mallaig on rocks by the West Bay (pics may all be of one or possibly of 2 individual birds), near dusk on 8th May - Rock?

13 - Loch Coruisk (Skye), 11th May - location suggests Rock but appearance Meadow?

14 - Glenbrittle, Skye (not on the beach, about half a mile up the glen in scrubby gorse type area), 12th May - Meadow?

Finally, the ones I harbour some hope of being Tree Pipits (though in reality they are probably Meadow):

15) at Steall Falls in Glen Nevis, 14th May

16-17) by roadside layby at Loch Cluanie (Glen Shiel), 14th May

Agree on these ones too.

I agree with all your IDs. On the first of the last two I wouldn't rule out Tree Pipit and I have no idea what the last one is.

I can't see anything to favour Tree over Meadow - face pattern, bill shape mantle and underparts all look better for Meadow
