I have a hard time IDing hawks and their kin. Can someone help with this one? Thanks.

I agree. It looks like a Juv. "Eastern" B.I. Lineatus rather than a "Southern" B. I. Alleni sub species although they are rather hard to distinguish. See Wheeler's Raptors of Eastern North America p.197 and photos on pages 206 and 207.
