Early retirement has given me the freedom to return to my long lost hobby of birdwatching.
If I remember, it was an expensive hobby 20 years ago, so I had better scoot around the attic and dig out what I can find.

Bird Forum looks like a wonderful site and I am looking forward to finding my way around.

So pleased to see the U.S.A is well represented. What a wonderful country with fantastic wildlife.

Bob, if you still have your optics and can stretch to a few quid for a field guide (the Hamlyn guide ain't quite up to it these days!) the only cost is travel, and I would suggest you stick to your local area until you've got your eye back in with the common species.
