I saw this very pale gull in Monterey co., CA last week. Is it a juvenile Glaucous-winged?

I'd have thought Thayer's with dark prims to the port wing?

Cheers

Juvenile gulls are extremely confusing to me, so I wasn't sure what it could be and made my best guess based on pictures I've seen. I have found no pictures that exactly match this gull's color pattern. I would be happy for it to be a Thayer's. Are there any other opinions?

No, its feathers...I think...LOL But, I don't know how those could have more shaded than the rest of the feathers in the shade...Most of the bird was shaded...

Or maybe, aliens did it...

So, I guess we're all agreed it is a Glaucous-winged Gull and I can add it to my life list now...?

Nope! No foot visible - I've gone over the pic with a magnifying glass (and a fine tooth-comb, whatever that is) :t:

Even closer inspection reveals...No Foot!...they would be flesh coloured anyway!....Has to be a piece of black liquorish that it's become attached to ;)

Yeah, flesh-colored feet. What was I thinking with dark feet? Maybe pining for liquorish myself after eating several rum balls.
