Hey all.

There's a Manfrotto 190Nat3 tripod with a 488RC2 head going for sale secondhand at just over £100. I'm thinking it'll make a good photographic/scoping combo and that I should get it.

Good deal? Cheers. :t:

It is a good price for this particular combo.

The 190nat is a good solid tripod well suited to birding or photography.

The 488rc - I am not a fan of ball heads, preferring a pan & tilt - is well regarded in most of the write ups I have seen.

Check for wear in the leg locks or fine cracks in the plastic - unlikely but worth looking for just in case.

The Manfrotto 222 is a truly brilliant ball head and worth considering if your load is less than 2.5kg.
Personally, I think you should decide what you want and wait until it becomes available.. they usually do in time, rather than choosing something that is available right now but not want you really want !
You'll regret it later if you end up spending more !
