I'm interested in Diascope Digiscoping setups, as I have an 85mm with zoom lens that I'm interested in digiscoping with. I'm just curious what camera, adaptor, accessories, etc you're using. A picture added would be great!

I guess I'll go first.

Vario-Zoom eyepiece always at 20x, sony DSC-W7, ebay 37mm filter tube inside homemade adapter. Homemade cable release bracket mounts to tripod threads. Works like a champ, but I might re-do it later to allow faster on/off and alignment, heck might also make eyepiece zoom access possible.

I usually only dog down three of the plastic bolts, but if I want it to stay put (if i'm hiking for example) and don't think I'll need to remove the camera in a hurry I tighten all six bolts.

I recently picked up a Baader stage – http://www.alpineastro.com/digital_photography/MicroStage/micro_stage_6030_instructions.htm

$56 including shipping from http://www.alpineastro.com/

I need more practice before I judge this thing. I have gotten 1 decent photo that indicates to me – it can do it. But I am far from consistent at this point.

I would be interested in hearing feeback on the Gritum swing away bracket. at about $290 US I was wondering if it is worth the cost and can it produce consistent results? Seems like the swinging away camera would be an advantage for focus as in the home built model posted earlier.

Great thread - I am very intrested in what others are using.
Thanks
