Thanks guys. Thought I'd try a quick nest-building swallow in anticipation of spring...
I found masking fluid useful for the bits of straw in the nest.

I've been carrying on in acrylics for the local bird report...I've only limited experience of these three species (that's my excuse for any glaring errors!)...pec san, leo and golden oriole...
