    An amazing bird to see in action -these storks easily manipulate & winkle large snails from their shells. This particular bird allowed a close approach whilst continuing to feed.

    Not the bonniest of birds. With a beak like a Swiss army knife it can open up a bivalve or winkle a water snail from its shell in a few seconds. This is one of a number of images taken on the dreaded family summer beach holiday .......man what a beach!!!!
