    Research, research, research!!! Didn't really do enough for our visit to Coll. It wasn't until a couple of days later, that we discovered Calmac did trips to Coll, where you get the ferry and a guide to take you round the island to the RSPB reserve and the sand dunes - both too far for old folk...

    Way back in 2002 we had the most wonderful holiday in Shetland. Amongst the islands we visited was the lovely island of Fetlar. We'd planned a long weekend but it was so nice there that we ended up staying for 6 days (rather put the schedule out LOL). It was so hot that the tarmac was melting...

    I'll post some images from a recent pelagic trip, 23 miles off Halifax, Nova Scotia, and drifting and chumming for 12 hours. Gave us an opportunity to see birds close-up that we normally only see far offshore. Please correct me if any of the Skua/ Jaeger IDs are wrong.
