Hello, new to birdwatching in the garden
I installed a bird feeder in the garden. Surprisingly, I took good pictures with an almost 20-year-old camera, the Panasonic FZ50. A Great Tit and a Sparrow (am I correct?) are my pictures so far. Christmas birds - Great Tit
I've finally reached the end of my 2023 posts. Here are three who visited my feeders (including extra sheaves of oats and home-made fatballs and stuffed coconuts) on Christmas Eve. Peanut lover

Not so big, big boy
They really can look large at times can't they. Great Tit are reliable regulars at the feeding station up at Mause (and the other one too, lower down), unlike at home where they've always been very occasional, though becoming a little more regular now, though very far from daily.- delia todd

The favourites with friends
Everybody loves Long-tailed Tits, so I can't resist photographing them when I catch them at the feeders. Just in case you're not sure, there's 4 and a bit of them, along with a Coal Tit and a Great Tit. Table manners
At our new feeders I spotted a Great Tit on a branch eating a seed. This is the the tit species favourite method of eating. Get a seed and fly to a branch, holding it between his toes to peck at it. Thanks to Ann (Doc Duck) for pointing this out to me many years ago.- delia todd
