    to appear in my garden. such a handsome one. usually the bulbuls chase them away form the garden, maybe thats why i did no see it today. hope you like it.

    Out for a walk in my local area, never seen a Shrike before. The bird was with the female looking for food to feed the chicks so I kept well away. Wish I could have got closer but I didn't want to disturb them.

    well worth a 6 am start in the morning to visit this stunning little bird couldn't believe how photogenic it was on wat turned out to be a great start to the and finishing it off watching short eared owls!!

    but not in my garden, it seems that the bulbuls are doing a good job in chasing them away, but in the college area there are many, mostly lesser grey and red backed, only one masked in the past week. generally the migration is a bit slow until now. Hope you like this.
