Hi All, pls advise on these two raptors that i observed in the area of Erjos pools on Tenerife in mid-July 2022. I was actually there looking for the local Linnet subspecies and initially did not pay much attention to the two raptors circling above a mountaintop at a considerable distance from me. It is only now that I am looking at the pictures that I start having questions.
The first picture shows them together, while the next pictures show the birds separately. The bird on the right in the first picture + pictures 2 and 3 appears to be a European Honey-Buzzard. If true, this would be a pretty rare sighting for Tenerife, so I would really welcome other views here.
The other bird (pictures 4,5 and 6 plus on the left in picture 1) - for some reason I cannot come up with a plausible suggestion. Pls kindly advise.
Many thanks
