A little help with ID please :) seen at New Lanark 2021 (1 Viewer)

Hi just looking through old photos to sort them onto a new hard drive and come across this bird which im struggling to get an id for, any help is appreciated.
Photo was taken at New Lanark in August 2021, attached 2 base pictures and a slightly edited one incase it helps.

Bill-shape doesn't match any duck in the world that I can think of offhand. When you're figuring out (almost) any unknown bird, always look first at bill-shape.
When I showed someone, a non birder, an image of the Masked Finfoot, they said that it looked like a duck. Probably based more on body rather than bill shape?
