A Lovely Day At Rye Meads (1 Viewer)

Cuckoos at Dawlish! I look forward to that report!

Walwyn, I agree. All fur coats are not a good thing at all. (However, they are welcome to the cats round our garden! :t:)

Thats a pretty good first shot of a kingfisher Peter, they can be very hard to photograph as they never stand still long enough. Sorry to tease you Peter, i know how you like the area very much, but i have to say it was a very wet morning.

Good Kingfisher, at least you got wet too! It's been pretty wet today too here in Westminster. I've been on Abingdon Green all day talking about Clare Short's departure.

I enjoyed the photo very much, colours especially and the report.
Rye Meads is a lovely site;have they opened the new section, accessed through the Turnstile as yet?

Trevor.

Hi Grousemore: thanks very much for that...........

If you mean the section beyond the Kingfisher hide, I don't think it's open yet. As you say though, it's a lovely site, and will get better and better as the landscape settles down and trees, plants and paths etc become established.

Well worth a trip for anyone who hasn't been.

Peter
