We twitched and AGP today - we found a bird that was clearly different from all the EGPs very quickly, but it was always very far away for photos - well, expectedly, as all available photos of this bird are even worse than what we got. The bird was visibly slightly smaller than the EGPs and more slender, much grayer and with an obvious supercilium. It was surprisingly easy to find it again and again after the flock shuffled around. We think that it was pretty obviously an AGP, but I am curios whether that would be IDable from the photos. We tried both digiscoping and a 400 mm lens and the digiscoping is probably worse, I am still not sure how to do it properly, in particular when the background is just mud where it has big troubles focusing.

Hi. The only other plovers with a prominent supercilium and short bill that look similar to your pics are, a juvenile Dotterel and a Caspian Plover, which, is well out of range!! Could well be an AMG, hard to tell from the pics though.
