Bought a superb book today at my local garden centre.

It's a Hamlyn Guide called "Animals Tracks, Trails and Signs" by R W Brown, M J Lawrence and J Pope.

Full of interesting stuff such as tracks and trails of mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles.

Other sections include Feeding Activity, feeding remains, bird & mammal droppings, bird pellets etc. Also explained are the grooming and marking signs, and homes and nurseries of various mammals.

All this packed into 320 pages, with colour illustrations; marked price is £12.99 and I bought it for £3.99 An absolute bargain.

If anyone is interested, I'm more than happy to check whether the garden centre has any more of these books in stock.
