Up to 4 reported recently between the castle, the meadows and the church (from RBA). I've never been are these areas very far apart it sounds like the birds are ranging widely.

More than one?

Four is the most I have seen reported this year but most people seem to be reporting seeing one

Someone had 12 at Rufford Country Park yesterday

Not so far apart but it means you can be waiting an hour or two to catch them and it might mean you only see them in flight as opposed to some of the other places where they are always in the same small area and less mobile
