How do we tell the difference between Red-necked Avocet (Recurvirostra Novaehollandiae) and American Avocet (Recurvirostra Americana)

Do they display anything different in their appearance or behaviour ? Like how can you tell which one is Americana and which one is Novaehollandiae ?

Look at the head colour and wing pattern

Hhhmmmmm Novaehollandiae has dark brown head and no second black line in it's wing.
While Americana has light brown head and does have a second black line in it's wing.
