Baird's Sandpiper ? Portugal 🇵🇹 (1 Viewer)

Hello Indobirder,

A 1cy Curlew Sandpiper has a different pattern on the scapulars: darkish centers wit a black subterminal boarder, creating a scalloped pattern. Sometimes the center is very dark, but the scalloped pattern is still visible/judgeable. And many Curlew Sandpipers have longer wings, crossing like scissors beyond the tail-tip.

Both are 1cy Dunlins I agree with Matt and Jogresh

Black spotty bits on underside are a juvenile dunlin thing - not curlew sandpiper. Curlew sand also usually has a bigger supercilium.
