Bald or Golden Eagle? (1 Viewer)

Hi Everyone,

I'm struggling with IDing whether this is an immature Bald (3 Year?) or golden eagle.

I also should mention that this was near Montreal, Canada.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks!

thanks Gerben.

Given the size of it I'm pretty sure it was either a bald or golden eagle. It was being hassled by two turkey vultures (although they kept their distance) and it was bigger than them.

thanks again,

Carl

Thanks Everyone. I certainly stand corrected and now you've pointed out the tail feathers it seems definite.

This is certainly the biggest Red-tailed I've seen. I would have guessed at least 2 ft; the Turkey vultures wouldn't go anywhere near it!
