We are producing a new e-journal in southern Africa called "Ornithological Observations" --- OO for short --- the website is http://oo.adu.org.za --- the journal now contains more than 60 papers in three volumes, and most of them document fascinating aspects of bird behaviour, breeding, predation, etc, etc. The papers are landscape (so each page fits neatly on a computer screen). The pdfs of the individual papers are freely downloadable.
There is no particular reason why the scope is southern African --- OO will publish "ornithological observations" from anywhere in the world. The website contains a template which can be downloaded to make submission easy
