Bird flu hitting Common Cranes in Israel (1 Viewer)

Dreadful scene, as were the Barnacle geese in Scotland. Sometimes more poignant when it is a large majestic species.
 
That's sad. I remember seeing Cranes there many years ago. For some reason it stands out as a very memorable experience/birding day. I could hear them, and then the early morning mist lifted, and there were hundreds of them.
My first Penduline Tits were between the Cranes and me.
