Hello!
We are preparing a birding trip to Beidaihe and Happy Island (China). We have almost everything ready, but we miss a checklist of this area. Does anyone has some bird checklist for Beidaihe and Happy Island which could send to me?
Cheers!

Dani

Hi!
I already have this report, but we are travelling on slightly different dates (April 24th - May 5th), so I would like to have a complete checklist, not a report, as we expect different species.
Cheers!

Dani

Dani,

There will be very little difference in the species list, you will just see more of the traditionally earlier passage birds such as the raptors, birds such as Red-flaked Bluetail and winter thrushes such as Naumann's, Dusky and Red-throated. The William's list that I linked to on the China thread is of more use perhaps as it covers a wider period but the Wildwings lists, many of which I've compiled cover pretty much everything you should expect to see and many you won't as you depart too early. Some years are late Spring passage, some early, and your period will obviously exclude the bulk of the warbler sp, the flycatchers etc

If you pm me with an address, I can post you a list if you wish.
