Hello,
I live and birdwatch in Colorado, but for 6 weeks every winter, we visit the Arenal Volcano area in Costa Rica. The birding down here is amazing! We currently have a flock of very noisy scarlet macaws living in the trees behind our house. Also toucans, tanagers, herons, bitterns, parrots. Fun place to birdwatch.

I have visited Costa Rica (last February) you are correct, it is brilliant
I have also birding in Colorado (an organised grouse tour) that was great fun too

Hi CR Birdwatcher and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I see you have been posting some pictures in the forums but the best place to show them is in the Gallery Gallery . I do hope we may be able to see some more of your work there.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group.

Hello! Jealous you're in my favorite place to bird! I have a Birds of Costa Rica book I use as a journal to log my first sightings so I can look back and remember all my trips. There are lapas in the Arenal area? I've only seen them in MA.
