Birds Of Maspalomas Gran Canaria 3. A rare Heron? (1 Viewer)

I was told by a few local Birders this was an Imperial Heron. Seen In the lagoon at Maspalomas.

It is rare for Gran Canaria (enough to create an ebird Bird Alert for the species on the Canaries), but two have been on the Maspolomas lagoon since the first days of January, usually in the reeded inlet area, along with three or so Glossy Ibis, a variety of waders, etc)

I did think it might be a Purple Heron. Glossy Ibis was there and 3 Spoonbills
