Butterflies In Gibraltar (1 Viewer)

Found these two yesterday flying around the Trafalgar graveyard Gibraltar, I liked the way they glided without flapping.

Monarchs aren't they? Is there milkweed in Gibraltar?

No idea what they are John, quite big though, as I said I spent some time following them around watching them glide. I made a Video of them I'll upload it when I get home.

I believe so, yes. I saw them at a couple of locations in the Algarve in Portugal in 2017

Certainly seen them in a couple of locations in southern Spain where I also saw 2 naturalised species of milkweed.
