Cape Barren Goose Hampshire UK (1 Viewer)

I came across this goose in a local watercress bed today, it appears to be a Cape Barren goose, an escapee presumably. I'd like to know a little more about the history of this species in the UK. There are no lakes with ornamental fowl in the immediate area as far as I know, are they also kept as domestic animals?P1290176 - Copy_edited.jpg
