While out walking our beast on Chester meadows this afternoon, saw 2 kingfishers flying upstream close to the near bank. I've sat on this bench loads of times (the last one when you turn right from the Bottoms Lane end of the meadows) and never seen any here before, so delighted to see two chasing each other so close.

yes, 14 mth old v lively dog with teenage tantrums!

Just had another kingfisher this morning on the canal between parkgate rd and backford, chester. Perched on a branch got within 20' before it flew.
