Cheshire And Wirral Birding: Hills, Lowland and Coast (3 Viewers)

nice one - what's your garden list on. Mines, Delamere, about 70 so far and I only ask cos' I've no idea if that's good or bad. Still missing loads of stuff such as Grey Wagtail, Reed Bunting, Redpoll etc.

About right for an inland garden list - mine in Macclesfield is c75 and another birder in Holmes Chapel is on 76 spp.

Good day at Burton Mere today, had two Jack Snipe from the reed bed screen, Curlew Sandpiper from IMF hide before being flushed by a Marsh Harrier. Also saw a ringtail Hen Harrier hunting over the marsh. Thousands of Teal across the site, and good numbers of Pintail, Shoveler, Lapwing and Black Tailed Godwit.

Earlier in the day I went to Parkgate to check out the high tide, it wasn't the best high tide of all time but managed to see 3 Great White Egrets and a Short Eared Owl. Didn't see the Spoonbill though.
