Chiffchaff? (1 Viewer)

'Caught this little bird darting in an out of reeds on the edge of a pond. Location: coast, East Durham. I have another picture, which I think is of the same bird, and he/she has a dash of green/yellow on the wing. I've never seen that dash of colour on a chiffchaff and I didn't hear this bird calling. Having said that, 'certainly looks like a chiffchaff and the dark legs supports that.

And to me. What about the flash of standout green/yellow on the wing? Clearly I'm no expert, and that will explain why I've never seen that on a chiffchaff?

I believe some Chiffchaff can be surprisingly bright. I was ID'ing mainly on the basis of the short primary projection.
