Chromatic Aberration, CA, what, why, how? (2 Viewers)

Hello Threepnneybit,

I favour lower magnification in both binoculars and 'scopes. I am satisfied with 30x on my 85mm 'scope. With zooms, I perceive two problems, which may not concern many. First of all, if you care to zoom to the maximum, you need a much better and heavier tripod, than with lower power, like your 20x. Zoom optics are now very good but still not quite as good as single power optics.

Happy bird watching,
Arthur
