Crow behaviour - moved from an unrelated thread (1 Viewer)

Yeah, well that was the one I saw on the road up to the visitor centre.
I love the crows in Brisbane. Sadly, I just had to bury one of the juveniles of our resident gum tree crows. My family and I are devastated. Healthy bird, 4-5months old found in my side garden deceased. The vet thinks it could have ingested poison via a baited rat but I think it was involved in a territorial fight with other crows and hurt its neck. Sadly, I'll never know but seeing the parents now pining for it is so emotionally difficult to watch. Do adult crows fret for long over the death of their young?
