Taken at Kuala Selangor last weekend.

Juvenile bird, we're debating whether it's a Little Bronze or Violet Cuckoo - any confirmation?

I have more images if you need them.

Thanks Rach

Hi Rach

Not a juvenile but a male coming into good breeding condition. This is a Little Bronze Cuckoo - quite common in mangroves and open areas near the coast. Violet would be more of a lowland forest bird.

Cheers
