Dead Pine Siskins (1 Viewer)

I’m new to this forum so not sure this is the right place to inquire. I live in Southwest Bend Oregon. Myself and a friend in the neighborhood have found several dead Pine Siskins. I did have feeders that I have since removed but my friend (1/2 mile away) has never had any feeders and he has had over a dozen dead birds in his yard. Does anyone know what’s happening to cause this?

Hi, first off welcome to the forum. The only thing I could find was from December of 2021, it discussed a salmonella outbreak in Oregon. You might want to try and contact the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife:
