Hello,
i recently bought the Dragonfly ID app by Sunbird (iOS version) which is based on the Field Guide to the Dragonflies of Britain and Europe by Dijkstra et al. Just a very short review after using it today for the first time: It could be a great app as the content is basically the book but gives you the option to filter for countries, colors, wingspan, different colors of pterostigmas etc. BUT there seem to be a lot of mixups of the species descriptions which basically makes the app unusable as you can never be sure that a species description is correct. Sometimes it‘s obvious (description for Large Red Damselfly says only record in the area covered by the app is from Algeria), sometimes not (mixups between different emeralds).
I just wrote a mail to Sunbird to let them know about the mixups and asked if they are planning to update the app to get rid of the mixups. Will update this thread when they answer.
