Viewed this duck at Nayanquing Point State Area in Bay County, MI, USA on 7/23/23. Seemingly a redhead but is strange looking and Iam open to other's opinions.

Its a diving duck of genus Aythya , but a very bleached and worn one. From bill and plumage pattern I think Redhead , Aythya americana
