My ED82 has a flat front objective lens, is this correct or does it have a filter fitted?

My front lens looks like it is out slightly further like it has a filter in front

It's hard to tell from online pics where the lens actually is.

i would say that if it has a filter fitted you would not be able to feel any of the threads

Looks pretty flat to me.

Mine starts here but it looks set further back from all the online pics I've seen online including yours.

I just triple checked. Yes that is where the front objective is with no filter.
