New analyses of BTO/JNCC/RSPB Breeding Bird Survey data, just published in the Journal of Applied Ecology, have shown that the management undertaken by farmers as part of Environmental Stewardship (ES) to enhance winter seed resources for farmland birds has had a significant effect on their population trends.
