Female lesser scaup? Helston, Cornwall (1 Viewer)

I visited Helston boating lake on 6th Nov and saw the adult male lesser scaup. I also saw what looked like the female that others have reported as a hybrid lesser scaup. Is this a photo of a female hybrid lesser scaup? If so, what is the second photo which was seen later on one of the islands in the lake. Is it the same bird but a bad, distant photo or is it something else and, if so, what could it be?

Thanks for any thoughts. Phil

I think the close-up is a Tufted Duck - look at the obvious dark tip to the whole width of the bill - and the distant bird is probably another one.
