First Hummingbird (2 Viewers)

Well, we had our first hummingbird (female ruby throated) here in Irmo, SC, yesterday! :D

I actually saw my first hummingbird ever (male ruby throated) while visiting a friend in Pelion, about two weeks ago, so you can probably imagine how excited I was to find that the mini feeder I put out as a tester had actually drawn one in! I'm off out today to buy a nice feeder or two for our deck, so we can see them up close.

Anybody else got any hummers, yet? :)

4 species as of today at my place in Cali. Black-chinns arrived a few days ago - same genus as your Ruby Throated. A few years ago I got to see masses of RT's at a friend's place in Minnes-O-ta. Amazing how much they act and look alike.
