Firth of Forth Gull (1 Viewer)

This afternoon, I noticed the pictured gull. There are plenty of both Lesser and Great BBGs in the area, but this one stood out as being much darker than the local LBBGs, but still having the yellow legs.

Is this just a dark LBBG?

Hello,
I agree with you, its a LBBG. please note:
  • bright yellow legs
  • normal bill size
  • pale eyes, many GBBG have dark (amber) eyes, enhancing the small impression of the eyes
