Florida Trip Report (7 Viewers)

florida and corkscrew

Hi all, just returned from florida and saw much of what is on the list, I must say the corkscrew swamp is an amazing birding location and the mosquitoes were virtually none existant in late feb. We managed to see a Limpkin and Summer tanager there as well as all of the florida egrets and herons. Corkscrew is just east of Fort Myers area and is considered one of Audubon's jewels.

Hi Rob,

Glad you enjoyed your trip! We stopped by Corkscrew Swamp late in the day but they wouldn't let us in because it was almost closing time. Oh well...next time!
