Went a-wander today, to some local woods, having a shufty at what was around.
This one was attached to a piece of branch, that had fallen from a dead birch.

I did think of Daedaleopsis confragosa, but the only pics I could find of the pore pattern, showed a very different pattern.
In retrospect, I realise that the images I had looked at were of very much younger specimens.
