I'm wondering ghost moth of some sort?

I don't think it's one of the swift moths... antennae too prominent. But I know nothing about what families occur in tropical Africa. You may have to wait till one of the experts comes on line.

I agree with Lasiocampidae (Lappet moths, Eggars.....), but have no working knowledge of the African lasiocampid fauna, so can't even place to genus.
