Grand Strand in Dec... Birding sites? (1 Viewer)

Hi (from Charlotte, NC),

I'll be in N. Myrtle Beach for a few days around Dec. 10, 2007. I was wondering if there are any "must visit" sites for this time of year. I have frequently gone to Huntington Beach State Park, and love the place. Should I go there again, or are there other sites nearer N. Myrtle that I should visit? I'll be driving my car, and will spend a day or so birding. Thanks in advance for any info.

Most certainly Huntington Beach. Probably about an hour or an hour and 10 minutes from N Myrtle depending upon what part of the city you are staying at.

Myrtle Beach State Park is not too shabby either. That would be about 20 minutes before Huntington.
