Great Spot.drumming? (1 Viewer)

Working in the garden on Monday 18th, I heard a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming several times during the day. It occurred to me that this might be a particularly "early" individual singing.....anybody else had them drumming yet?

Last week in Cassiobury Park, near Watford. My initial thoughts were reinforcing feeding territory.

Had them drumming here for the past week or so, they normally start here in late December.
