Great Tit Behaviour - Is this normal? (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone I have a nest box with a camera in it and since October 2020 a female great tit has been roosting every night. She started to build her nest mid March and in April she was bringing in fine nesting material resulting in laying her first egg early on April 26th. After laying she went out and returned about 19:30 where she removed a bit of shell from the egg, picked it up and removed it from the nest.

The following day she laid another egg at approx 06:00 and by 07:35 she pecked the shell and removed it again. The same thing happened the following day but the day after she never came back. My question is, is this normal behaviour? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks Glenn
