Greater Scaup? - Eastern Ontario, Canada (2 Viewers)

Seen this morning in eastern Ontario, Canada, I think these might have been greater scaups, but that's just a guess. I really have no idea what they were. ID?

Both are Ring-necked Ducks, I believe. Both scaups tend to show a more well-defined bill base, perhaps less of an eye-ring. These birds also show Ring-necked Duck's more triangular head. Ring-necked is most likely of the three to spend the summer in your area, I think.
